The 2026 Henry J. Bruman Summer Chamber Music Festival concluded another wonderful season of music. This year’s series was exceptionally well attended, and we were delighted by the warm response and enthusiasm of everyone who joined us.
Arcana Nomadica opened the series, they had the audience spellbound! Everyone enjoyed the journey through time with rich folk and Gypsy-Romani music from Europe and the Americas.
July 30, 2×3: From Duo to Sextet featured Ambroise Aubrun, Rebecca Hang, Ariana Solotoff, Kevin Hsu, Brent Samuel, and Brian Schuldt, in various combinations, who beautifully explored music from Jean-Marie Leclair, Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari, and Johannes Brahms.
Our third concert had Zachary Deak, Bryant Gozali, Ambroise Aubrun, and Ariana Solotoff captivating the audience with pieces by Shostakovich & Dvořák.
We closed this thirty-eighth season with an outstanding performance of Vivaldi’s Sonata in C Major and Brahm’s Piano Quintet in F Minor performed by Martin Chalifour, Ambroise Aubrun, Kate Hamilton, Cecilia Tsan, and Steven Vanhauwaert, eliciting an enthusiastic standing ovation and many shouts of “Bravo!” Many thanks to all the artists who came to campus and shared their extraordinary musical talents with us throughout this wonderful summer season!
Our sincere thanks go to Artistic Director Ambroise Aubrun, whose thoughtful and imaginative programming brought together an outstanding selection of musicians and performances. His vision once again made the Bruman Festival a highlight of the summer.
As we celebrate the success of this year’s festival, we are already looking ahead to 2027. With Lani Hall unavailable to host the series next summer, we are currently exploring a new location for the festival. While the setting may change, we look forward to seeing what unfolds for the 2027 season—and to welcoming our musicians and audiences back for another summer of exceptional music.
If you missed any of these performances in person or simply wish to enjoy them again, we invite you to visit our YouTube channel, where the concerts will be available to view for a limited time. Thank you to everyone who joined us this year. We can’t wait to see you again next summer!
