Bruman Summer Chamber Musi c Festival is being held this summer in Lani Hall\, a 133-seat auditorium located in the Schoenberg Music Building on the UCLA campus. All concerts are free of charge\, and no reservations are required. He has performed extensi vely on three continents and has conducted master classes in North America (Québec\, California\, Oregon\, New York\, Wisconsin\, Nevada\, Utah\, S outh Dakota\, Oklahoma\, Pennsylvania\, Puerto Rico)\, France\, Italy\, Au stralia\, and New Zealand.\n\nHis albums for Editions Hortus and Navona Re cords have embraced a wide range of repertoire from J.S. Bach to Eric Tang uy (b. 1968)\, and received praise of the highest caliber (five stars in  Pizzicato Magazine\, “coup de coeur” by France Musique\, and a nominat ion for the 2021 International Classical Music Awards). His performances a nd albums have been broadcast on CBS\, ABC\, WFMT Chicago\, France Musique \, 3MBS Melbourne (Australia)\, Klara Radio (Belgium)\, KPFK Los Angeles\, KNCJ Nevada\, WTUL New-Orleans\, and KUSC Los Angeles.\n\nHe has served a s guest concertmaster of the Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra\, the Las Vega s Philharmonic\, and the International Chamber Orchestra of Puerto Rico\, and is a regular guest of the Los Angeles Philharmonic violin sections.\n\ nAubrun graduated at age nineteen from the Paris National Superior Conserv atory\, and then studied at UCLA (DMA) and at the Colburn Conservatory of Music (Artist Diploma). He is a winner of the Charles Oulmont Prize of the Fondation de France\, a laureate of the Langart Foundation in Switzerland \, and a recipient of the UNLV Barrick Scholar Award for outstanding achie vement in Creative Activities and a CSUN Faculty Achievement Award. Curren tly Associate Professor of Violin at the University of Nevada\, Las Vegas\ , Dr. Aubrun previously taught at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music and UC Santa Barbara. More information at  www.ambroiseaubrun.com.\n\nAriana Solotoff\nAriana Solotoff\, originally f rom New York\, lives and works in Los Angeles as a performer and teacher o f violin and viola.\n\nMs. Solotoff earned her Bachelor’s degree from Th e Juilliard School under the mentorship of Michael Tree and Masao Kawasaki \, and her Master’s degree from the Haute École de Musique de Genève i n Switzerland\, under Miguel Da Silva\, where she was a recipient of the p restigious Hans Wilsdorf Foundation Award.\n\nAriana has performed with ma ny chamber and symphonic orchestras across the US and Europe\, including t he Los Angeles Philharmonic\, Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra\, Camerata Ve nia\, Hulencourt Symphony Orchestra\, Camerata Regală\, and Orchestra Na țională Radio România. She has appeared on the Grammy Awards\, the Vide o Game Music Awards\, and Disney Channel\, and has recorded for film sound tracks and albums by artists such as Beyoncé.\n\nAs an educator\, Ariana teaches privately violin\, viola\, and piano and is on faculty at Junior C hamber Music. She has previously served on faculty at the Montecito Intern ational Music Festival\, the Idyllwild Arts Academy Intensive Summer Music Program\, and Cremona International Music Academy in Italy. Ariana is als o the creator and director of Popsical Music\, an initiative dedicated to making classical music accessible and inspiring for children and families. \n\nBryant Gozali \nBryant Gozali is an Indonesian cellist based in Jakart a\, serving as Principal Cellist of the Jakarta Simfonia Orchestra and as a founding member of the Jakarta Trio. Recognized for his refined sound\, disciplined artistry\, and versatility\, he maintains an active career as a soloist\, chamber musician\, orchestral performer\, and educator.\n\nBry ant began studying cello at age nine under Professor Su Li at Xiamen Unive rsity. His early achievements included awards at the Ai Qin Bei National C ello Competition and orchestral leadership roles in Singapore under the me ntorship of Hermina Ilano and Chan Tze Law. In 2010\, he continued his stu dies in the United States with Yao Zhao of the San Diego Symphony\, later winning the concerto competition at the Great Wall International Music Aca demy.\n\nHe earned his Bachelor of Music from the Cleveland Institute of M usic under Stephen Geber and his Master of Music from the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music with Antonio Lysy. Bryant also studied with distinguished pedagogues including Hans Jørgen Jensen\, Paul Katz\, and Philippe Mulle r. Alongside performing\, he teaches at Universitas Pelita Harapan and fou nded Little Mendelssohn and Mendelssohn Academy to support cello education in Indonesia.\n\nZachary Deak\nPianist Zachary Deak has appeared in recit al as a soloist and chamber musician in the United States\, France\, Moroc co\, Portugal\, Moldova\, and the United Kingdom. He has performed at venu es including the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles\, the Cité de l a Musique and Salle Cortot in Paris\, the Casa da Música in Porto\, and t he Institut Français in Agadir\, Morocco.\n\nRecent highlights include a performance of Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Old Dominion Univer sity Symphony Orchestra\; a performance at the Jimmy Carter Forum on US– China Relations at the Carter Center in Atlanta\; a lecture-recital on Ame rican pedagogical piano music at the University of Music and Performing Ar ts in Vienna\; a performance of Peace for clarinet and piano by Jessie Mon tgomery at the Virginia Arts Festival\; and chamber music appearances in t he Masters in the Chapel concert series in Venice\, CA\, and the Henry J. Bruman Summer Chamber Music Festival at UCLA.\n\nDeak’s work as a perfor mer is closely connected to his research on piano pedagogy\, interpretatio n\, and cultural memory. His article “Pianistic Memorization as Cultural Memory: Insights from Religious and Devotional Traditions” has been acc epted for publication in the Journal of Piano Research\, and his essay “ The Seventh Book: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Piano Study” appeared in the EPTA Piano Journal. In 2026\, he will undertake a Crédit Agricole d’Île-de-France Research Fellowship at the Bibliothèque musicale La G range-Fleuret in Paris for his project “Revivre le cours: Alfred Cortot\ , archives pédagogiques et transmission interprétative sur le Steinway 1 907.”\n\nDeak received the Hopkinson Silver Medal at the Chappell Medal Piano Competition in London and worked intensively with Maria João Pires in Paris and Brussels. A graduate of the École Normale de Musique de Pari s and the Royal College of Music in London\, he received his Doctor of Mus ical Arts degree in Piano Performance from the University of Southern Cali fornia.\n\nHe currently serves as Assistant Professor of Piano and Musicol ogy and Director of Keyboard Studies at Old Dominion University in Norfolk \, Virginia.\n\n\n\nAbout The Henry J.
