We are pleased to welcome Juliette Wise, the Center & Clark’s new Financial Analyst, to our team. As a graduate of the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) with a B.A. in English and a specialization in early modern literature, Juliette’s academic interests are perfectly aligned with the Center and Clark Library’s programs. Juliette began working for UCSB as a research assistant for the English Broadside Ballad Archive (EBBA) under the direction of Patty Fumerton and Kristen McCants Forbes. Upon graduating from UCSB, she was hired there as a Financial Coordinator for the Writing Program and Linguistics department, in a humanities cohort which also houses the English and Philosophy Department, where she worked for two years before joining us at UCLA. A native Californian hailing from San Luis Obispo, Juliette refers to herself as a bookworm who loves to read anything and everything! She is an avid roller skater, capable of flips and tricks in the street, rink, or skate park. When she is not reading or skating, she challenges herself by learning a new language (currently, French).
